Arsenal stay top after sensational comeback against Bournemouth

Arsenal rallied from 2-0 down to beat Bournemouth 3-2 and maintained their five-point lead at the top of the Premier League table thanks to Reiss Nelson’s winning goal in the 97th minute.

Philip Billing opened the scoring in stunningly quick fashion, needing just 9.11 seconds to put the visitors in front. His goal is the second fastest in Premier League history.

Marcos Senesi’s powerful header doubled the visitors’ lead in the 57th minute before Thomas Partey got Arsenal on the board five minutes later.

Ben White levelled the match in the 70th minute, scoring his first goal for Arsenal with Nelson picking up the assist.

With the minimum of six minutes of stoppage time already played, it looked like both sides were going to have to settle for a point before Nelson’s stunning strike won it.Arsenal keep pace with Manchester City, who beat Newcastle earlier today, while Bournemouth remain in 19th place
