Yusuf Mohammed is a seasoned Nigerian journalist, writer, and editor with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and International Relations from Al-Hikmah University.
Yusuf, who is populary known as YusufWrites on social media, began his journalism career at Business Hallmark newspaper in 2013 before moving to New Telegraph as an editorial staff member from 2015 to 2017. In 2017, he joined The Next Edition as a pioneer staff member, playing a key role in establishing it as a leading online platform through his in-depth special reports. He later returned to Business Hallmark in 2019 before founding The Columnist Ng, a platform dedicated to publishing articles from renowned Nigerian writers.
Mohammed’s work has been featured in several prestigious Nigerian newspapers and magazines, including Daily Trust, Premium Times, The Cable, and Newswatch. His tribute to football legend Diego Maradona was published in three magazines, including Air Peace In-flight Magazine, in 2020.
He currently serves as a contributing editor and writer at Newswatch Plus.
