Reuben Abati to present three new books on politics, society, and personal reflections

Caltop Publications Nigeria Limited is pleased to announce the public presentation and official launch of three new books authored by celebrated journalist, public intellectual, and former Presidential Spokesperson, Dr. Reuben Abati.

The event will take place on Friday, November 7, 2025, at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Victoria Island, Lagos, beginning at 10:00 a.m. prompt.

The books to be unveiled are:

  • Portraits: People, Politics and Society
  • A Love Letter & Other Stories
  • How Goodluck Jonathan Became President

Each of these titles showcases Dr. Abati’s trademark eloquence, depth, and versatility—blending political insight, social commentary, and creative storytelling. Collectively, they offer a compelling exploration of Nigeria’s governance, leadership, and evolving social fabric.

Speaking on the forthcoming launch, Ayo Arowosegbe, Managing Director of Caltop Publications, described the books as “compelling, insightful, and relevant for our times,” noting that they will serve as vital references for “policymakers, media professionals, academics, students, and citizens seeking informed perspectives on Nigeria and the world.”

The ceremony is expected to attract dignitaries from government, academia, the media, business, and the literary community, in celebration of Dr. Abati’s enduring impact on journalism, literature, and civic discourse.

The event will also coincide with Dr. Abati’s 60th birthday, providing a moment to reflect on his distinguished career and lifelong commitment to national development and intellectual engagement.

Yusuf Mohammed, also known as Yusuf Writes, is a seasoned Nigerian journalist, writer, and public scholar.
