Unscripted drama at the San Siro

Inter Milan have reached their second Champions League final in three years after a thrilling semi-final victory over Barcelona.

Having fallen to Manchester City in the 2022 final, Inter will now look to claim their fourth European title when they face either Paris Saint-Germain or Arsenal in Munich on May 31, following an astonishing 7-6 aggregate win.

After a 3-3 draw in the first leg, Barcelona looked set to book their place in a first Champions League final in a decade when Raphinha gave them the lead late in the second leg at the San Siro. But Francesco Acerbi struck deep into stoppage time to force extra time, where Davide Frattesi netted the decisive goal to seal a dramatic 4-3 win on the night and secure Inter’s place in the final after a contest that will go down in Champions League history.
