Nigerians celebrate Atiku at 78

Nigerians from various walks of life have come together to celebrate former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on his 78th birthday. Well-wishers across the nation’s diverse ethnic groups have lauded Atiku, recognizing the bridge-building legacy he has cultivated over the years.

Prominent voices took to social media to express their admiration and extend their prayers for the former Vice President. A social commentator, Demola Olarewaju, shared on X (formerly Twitter):

“Hearty Birthday wishes to the most enduring Politician of the Fourth Republic. My steadfast prayer for Your Excellency is for continued Good Health and a Sound Mind. Happy Birthday, Waziri Atiku Abubakar.”

From Akwa Ibom State, Obong Ubong (@eltoncool792) celebrated the day with a personal connection, posting:

“Happy birthday to His Excellency, Mr. Atiku Abubakar. Just realizing my favorite woman shares her birthdate with my favorite politician. I am ATIKUlating.”

Similarly, Tomy (@iamtomyidowu), a user from the Southwest, shared:

“Man of the people. We pray for long life and good health for him to keep on the journey for a better Nigeria.”

Leaders join in the celebration

Former Senate President Bukola Saraki also joined in celebrating Atiku, describing him as a compassionate leader committed to Nigeria’s unity and progress. On his verified X page, Saraki wrote:

“His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, stands as a compassionate servant of the people whose lifelong dedication to the nation’s progress and unity has earned him the admiration of Nigerians across the globe.”

Saraki prayed for Atiku’s continued blessings of good health, strength, and wisdom.

Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, in a statement on behalf of himself and his family, celebrated Atiku’s milestone. He highlighted the former Vice President’s remarkable contributions to Nigeria’s growth and development, stating:

“Your Excellency, as you celebrate this significant milestone, it is an opportunity to reflect on the remarkable contributions you have made to the growth and development of our great nation. Your leadership has been a beacon of hope, resilience, and selfless service to the people of Nigeria.”

Tambuwal praised Atiku’s vision, statesmanship, and dedication to fostering national unity, advancing economic reforms, and improving governance. He added:

“Your legacy of service is one that will endure for generations to come.”
