The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has appointed Max Air as the designated airline for transporting Jigawa State pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for the 2025 Hajj.
This was confirmed by the Director General of the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Ahmed Labbo, in a statement issued in Dutse on Thursday through the Board’s Public Relations Officer, Habibu Babura.
According to Labbo, the airlift of intending pilgrims from Nigeria to Saudi Arabia is set to begin in May 2025. He expressed confidence in the ongoing preparations, assuring pilgrims of a smooth and comfortable journey.
The Director General further stated that all necessary arrangements, including the provision of travel bags and uniforms, have been completed and are now ready for collection by intending pilgrims.
Reaffirming the Board’s commitment to ensuring a seamless experience for pilgrims, Labbo attributed Max Air’s selection to NAHCON’s dedication to upholding high standards of safety, efficiency, and comfort.
He extended his gratitude to Governor Umar Namadi for his unwavering support and leadership, which has significantly enhanced the operations of the Pilgrims Welfare Board.
“As the 2025 Hajj approaches, the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board remains committed to providing exceptional services to ensure a fulfilling and spiritual journey for all pilgrims,” Labbo stated.
He also expressed optimism that Max Air’s selection would yield positive outcomes, building on the airline’s successful track record in airlifting pilgrims.
