Joshua, Paul trade knockout warnings ahead of £100m showdown

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul have both promised knockouts ahead of their £100m heavyweight clash on December 19 in Miami.

Joshua, fighting for the first time since his knockout loss to Daniel Dubois last year, warned he would “break” Paul when the pair faced off in Miami. The size difference was evident as the 6’6″ Brit towered over Paul, but the American remained defiant, saying he was “ready to die in the ring” to win.

The eight-round bout, to be streamed on Netflix, has drawn massive attention due to the gap in experience. Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) is training with Oleksandr Usyk’s team after splitting from coach Ben Davison, while Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) believes speed and discipline can carry him through.

Joshua must weigh in at no more than 245 pounds, while Paul expects to come in between 215 and 225.

Paul has already talked up a future fight with Tyson Fury, but Joshua’s camp insists the focus is on victory and a major 2026 campaign.
