‘Internal saboteurs’ behind fuel scarcity, want Tinubu to lose – APC youth leader

The All Progressives Congress (APC) national youth leader, Dayo Israel has blamed the fuel scarcity on ‘’internal saboteurs’’ who want the APC to look bad in order to dampen the chances of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the presidential election in February.

Israel’s statement on Twitter today, is coming on the heels of Tinubu’s disclosure in Ogun State yesterday in regards to fuel scarcity and the decision of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to redesign the N200, N500 and 1,000 banknotes.

The APC presidential candidate alleged that both events were contrived to sabotage his victory at next month’s election.

In the same vein, the national youth leader tweeted: ‘’over the last seven years, we have always had fuel availability every Christmas. It was even a major scorecard that the December fuel crisis came to an end. How come the December before the election, suddenly fuel became scarce, reason am. To make APC look bad to Nigerians? INTERNAL SABOTEURS.’’

Meanwhile, spokesperson of the Atiku/Okowa Campaign Organisation, Kola Ologbondiyan, has berated Tinubu for trying to blackmail Buhari and blame the “APC-led federal government over his looming devastating rejection by Nigerians.”

“It is unfortunate that Asiwaju Tinubu is trying to hoodwink Nigerians by seeking to exonerate himself and blame others in the Buhari led-APC administration from the biting fuel scarcity in the country, when in reality he (Asiwaju Tinubu) is known to be behind the insensitive and anti-people policies that have brought so much calamity to our country, including the current persistent fuel scarcity,’’ he opined.
