I’m for Tinubu despite most of my members not being in support – Sheikh Jingir

Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir, Chairman Council of Ulama, Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa’Ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS), has endorsed Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of Saturday’s presidential election.

He noted that the choice of Tinubu is based on his personal interest and conviction, but should not stop his followers from voting candidates of their choice.

Sheikh Jingir made the endorsement at the closing of the JIBWIS’s 30th National Annual Seminar held in Jos.

“The executive committee of JIBWIS has met and I asked members to make their choices among the Presidential candidates,” he said.

“During the voting process, Atiku had 73 votes, Tinubu got 13 votes, and others said they will go with whatever decision I might take. I will vote for Tinubu, this is my personal decision and you can also vote for whoever you wish to vote for,” he said
