The Black Stars of Ghana have stopped the Super Eagles of Nigeria from going to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after drawing 1-1 on Tuesday.
The Black Stars held the Super Eagles to a goalless draw in Friday’s match at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
The second-leg took place at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja where Nigeria failed to win their match against arch-rivals Ghana to be able to qualify for the World Cup which would have been the country’s fourth successive appearance at the global tournament.
Ghana qualified on an away goal advantage.
