England defeated arch-rival Germany 2-1 in extra time to win the 2022 European Women’s Championship.
The nerve-racking encounter which took place at the Wembley Stadium was deadlocked at 1-1 after 90 minutes, but England went on to win it in the second half of extra time.
By their victory, the English side are now Champions of Europe for the very first time since the competition began 40 years ago.
