Benzema scores hattrick as Real Madrid beat Chelsea 3-1

Karim Benzema has been on fantastic form this season and he showed tonight why he is one the best strikers in the world by scoring a hattrick against defending Champions Chelsea.

In the first half he gave a brilliant pass to Vincius Junior who hit the wood work.

Shortly after, he scored a brace in the 21st and 24th minutes respectively. Both were superb headers.

Towards the end of the first half, Kai Havertz pulled a goal back to make it 2 -1 and quenched the excitement of Madrid players and fans.

But as soon as second half began, Madrid restored the two goals cushion thanks to a mistake by Chelsea’s goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy who gave a lackluster pass to the defender.

Benzema was substituted in the 85th after an extraordinary performance.
