Arsenal extended their flawless Champions League campaign with a commanding 3–1 victory over Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.
Despite a sluggish opening, Mikel Arteta’s men struck first when Jurrien Timber rose to head home Bukayo Saka’s corner past Manuel Neuer. Bayern responded 10 minutes later, with 17-year-old Lennart Karl capping off an impressive team move to level the score.
The Gunners shifted into top gear after the break, and two substitutes made the difference. Noni Madueke restored Arsenal’s lead before Gabriel Martinelli struck late on to seal the win and preserve their 100 per cent record in Europe this season.
Arsenal now turn their attention to a tough Premier League trip to Chelsea this weekend. Their next Champions League assignment comes in December, away to Club Brugge.
