Adebanjo meets INEC officials to ease voter registration in Onigbongbo

The Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo LCDA, Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo, has met with officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure a smooth and seamless Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise within the council area.

Speaking after the meeting, Hon. Adebanjo reiterated his commitment to making voter registration accessible to every eligible resident ahead of the forthcoming elections.

Residents who have misplaced their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs), have defaced cards, wish to transfer their registration from another LGA, or need to change their address are advised to visit the INEC office in Onigbongbo for swift assistance.

For cases of misplaced or damaged PVCs, applicants are required to provide their full name and date of birth to retrieve their data.

INEC also clarified that pre-registration or registration is strictly for new applicants who have never been enrolled before in the CVR, and such individuals must be at least 18 years old.

Hon. Adebanjo urged residents to take advantage of the exercise, stressing that civic participation remains the foundation of democracy.
