On June 29, 2024 all attention was on Balmoral Convention Center at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja for Mr. Abideen Olayinka’s magnificent 50th birthday celebration. As far as having fun is concerned, it is a day that none of those who attended the event will forget in a hurry.
The huge occasion which was fun galore, brought together family and friends in a joyous gathering for the celebrant, Mr. Abideen Olayinka, who is well revered for his philanthropic activities. The venue was adorned with colors that matched the dress code for men and women. The weather was perfect, with a gentle breeze complementing the day.
The celebration kicked off in the afternoon around 2pm with a variety of fun activities. At the entrance of the hall, there were several photography companies with unique styles of photography.
On getting inside the hall, guests were welcomed with fruits salad to prepare their taste buds for the variety of delicious meals that followed. From Amala and ewedu to pounded yam and egusi soup, guests ate to their fill.
Desserts in the form of cakes, ice cream and all sorts of snacks were served after the meals for anyone who had the appetite to indulge.
As the sun began to set, everyone gathered for the birthday cake. The celebrant, Mr. Abideen Olayinka made a heartfelt speech, expressing gratitude for the love and support of everyone present, before blowing out the candles to cheers and applause.
As night fell, the celebration continued with live music from the great Yinka Ayefele. His band played a mix of classic hits and contemporary favorites, getting everyone on their feet to dance. The atmosphere was electric, filled with laughter, music, and the warmth of being surrounded by loved ones.
While the guests thought they have had enough for the night and were about to call it a day, one of Nigeria’s best artists of all time, 9ice appeared on stage. The guests went wild. The Gongo Aso crooner didn’t disappoint as he sang his hit songs to entertain the celebrant and the guests.
The celebration moved to club above the hall for another round of fun. Guests were treated to good music, snacks and all sorts of drinks. It was like part two.
This birthday celebration was a testament to the power of love and friendship Mr. Abideen Olayinka built over the years. In his usual style of celebration, he made it a weekend to remember for all who attended.
