2023: Rendezvous in London

Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar on Thursday, met with Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State in London.

Details of the meeting between the two PDP leaders were not disclosed but reports have it that the focus was on reconciliation and the need to move the party forward.

Those present at the meeting aside from Atiku and Wike, were Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, and their Benue State counterpart, Samuel Ortom.

Earlier on Thursday, the Wike team met with Olusegun Obasanjo and Peter Obi, Labour Party presidential candidate in London.

According to a reliable source, ”some power brokers are urging Obi to collapse his structure in support of Atiku, as that is the only way they to dislodge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2023.”
